In 2025, Aix-en-Provence will celebrate Paul Cezanne through a series of events that bring his legacy back to life. In addition to the pictorial exhibition at the Musée Granet, visitors will be able to discover Cezanne’s places, including the Jas de Bouffan country house, which is gradually reopening.
It was precisely in Cezanne’s footsteps that Bernard Plossu traveled, in 2003 and again in 2006, exploring with his unique perspective the landscapes, the lights, and the very walls that inspired the master of Aix. An intimate, almost meditative journey into the universe of Cezanne. He produced two series of black and white photographs of the studio and the country house, which will be exhibited at the Aix-en-Provence Tourist Office.
