Mi Lyah Rot and Mi Seik Chan win the First Prize of the Yangon Photo Festival 2016 in amateur category with his series « The Plastic Monk ». Central to this work, Ye Min Oo, a 10 year old Burmese boy who had to quit school after the death of his father. Today he lives with his grandmother, and during the monsoon the boy collects plastic to earn a little money (on average 1 euro per day). This income being insufficient, the neighborhood monastery helps feed them and the monks receive children to initiate them.
The dream of Ye Min Oo however is to return to school …
