Leandro Erlich is famous for misappropriating the usual elements found in urban surroundings in order to create illusory installations altering the spectator’s perception. Bâtiment is a faithful reproduction of a 19th century Parisian building façade. Laid flat on the ground the monumental installation is completed by a huge tilted mirror, hanging in the air at 45 degrees.
