Besides commissioned work I often took opportunities to portray interesting people in culture and art. My desire to explore new fields of creativity and of photographic techniques led me to experiment e.g. singling out colors in Dye Transfer. Thereby the natural images were altered from graphically pronounced pictures, towards varying degrees of abstraction. – René Groebli
