The Eye of Photography presents on a monthly basis features of The Agents Club such as their Insta News, Master Series or Profiles.
This is : Adrienne Raquel [Lens]
Adrienne Raquel is a New York City based image maker and art director. A graduate of the University of Houston with a degree in advertising and studio art, she has gained fame as a social media influencer and for her collaboration with many large-scale brands.
Inspired by femininity, soulfulness and color, Adrienne’s work is rooted in nostalgia and fantasy while remaining fresh and contemporary.
Adrienne’s striking imagery is made unique with the use of distinct colour and composition, “I’ve always been infatuated with colors and color theory. Colors fuel many of our experiences.”
Finding success in her photos, Adrienne focuses on portraying women of color in a light that has been otherwise blocked.
“It may not have been publicly acknowledged before now, but our talent, our beauty, and our grace has always been secretly desired and praised for many years behind-the-scenes. Black women possess inevitable power and influence. There is no one like us.”
Exhibitions include Mickalene Thomas’ Better Nights at Miami’s Bass Museum and Aperture’s New Black Vanguard.
Clients include Apple, Pat McGrath Labs, Dior, Coach, Nike, Nars, Bumble & Bumble, Harper’s Bazaar, Cultured Magazine and Paper Magazine
