Stefan Falke: Danielle Jackson and Michele Mariaud’s pick

The series by Stefan Falke was selected by Danielle Jackson, Writer and Curator, CultureCulture, and Michele Mariaud, Gallery Owner, Michele Mariaud Gallery,during portfolios reviews organized by The New York Chapter of the American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP NY) on February 18th, 2015, in New York.

Photographer Stefan Falke was born in Paderborn, Germany, in 1956; he now lives in Brooklyn, New York. While shooting photo essays and portraits for international magazines and movie stills for major film studios Falke keeps working on his book projects like ‘MOKO JUMBIES: The dancing Spirits of Trinidad’ and currently ‘LA FRONTERA: Artists along the US Mexican Border’; since 2008 he photographed 180 artists on both sides of the 2000 miles long border to document the cultural side of a region mostly known to us thru media reports on illegal immigration issues and violent crimes related to the drug trade. Stefan Falke is a member of the German photo agency LAIF.
