reGeneration2 à Paris

Who are tomorrow’s photographers? The curators of the Musée de l’Elysée de Lausanne try to answer this question by proposing a selection of young international artists on their way to becoming big names in the photography arena. reGeneration2 follows the first edition of this ambitious project of discovering tomorrow’s talents: reGeneration began in 2005 and presented 50 artists in 10 cities around the world.

reGeneration2 presents the creativity and the talent of 80 photographers at the starting points of their carrers; they have been selected among 700 portfolios submitted by 120 renowned international photography schools. The touring exhibition reGeneration2 began its world journey in Laussanne in the Musée de l’Elysée in June 2010, before reaching China, South Africa, Canada, United States (New York, Washington and Miami) and France at the Rencontres d’Arles. Today the exhibition conceived by William A. Ewing and Nathalie Herschdorfer will open its doors in Paris on April 7th at the Gallery Azzedine Alaïa in order to unveil to the Parisian audience the photographers of tomorrow from 25 countries.

The exhibition will close its doors on May 22nd before continuing its international tour; it will also be displayed in the Caochangdi Photospring Festival in Beijing, and at the Rencontres Internationales de la Photo in Fez, Morocco to finally end its course in Hungary, at the Ludwig Museum in Budapest in the Fall of 2011.
