The 18th Prix Picto de la Jeune Photographie de Mode award ceremony took place last night at the Pan Piper in Paris. A few hours earlier, a jury, composed of public figures and distinguished personalities, met in order to select the 2015 award winner from among a short list of 27 portfolios. Since 2014, the award has gone to three photographers, and similarly this year : Laura Bonnefous wins first prize, Juliette Jourdain the second, and Jean-Philippe Lebée, the third prize.
The Prix Picto was first established in 1998 by the photo lab Picto in order to support fashion photographers under the age of 35 who are launching their careers. The award draws attention of the professional public to these distinguished works. Award winners benefit from the production of exhibition prints, a professional photography studio made available by Studios Daguerre, a digital editing session, in addition to having selected images featured in bus shelters courtesy of JCDecaux.
The jury was composed by Constance Benqué (CEO Lagardère Advertising, CEO Elle France&International), Laetitia Deville (Brand Manager Thalys International), Lauriane Dula (Art buyer @l’adresse), Pauline Walle (Art director Rosapark), Sylvie Hugues (Journalist), Anna Alix Koffi (CEO « OFF the Wall »), Caroline Lebar (Public Relation & Director of Communication Karl Lagerfeld), Marie-Sabine Leclercq (Director of Communication Lanvin), Sylvie Legastellois (Art Director Chanel), Damien Melich (Creative director JCDecaux), Christel Vatasso (Director Ford Models Paris), Sandrine Williamson (Marionnaud and member of IFM – Institut Français de la Mode), Esther Woerdehoff (Gallerist, Paris).
Jean-Paul Goude was also present on the occasion of this 2015 event to offer guidance to young artists.
