Alexandra Laffitte was born in 1982. Since she was a child, Alexandra has been drawn to and fascinated by artistic professions. Her interest was first sparked by drawing and, having completed a general curriculum, she chose to specialize in traditional crafts, pottery, and ceramics, and then enrolled in the visual arts at the University of Toulouse.
During that period, she had the opportunity to pursue photography, which marked a new turning point in her artistic vision and, at the age of 20, she began working as a photo lab assistant. But after ten years with the company she felt a growing lack of creativity and skill development. She was pleased to have a chance to go back to school and, in a three-year program at the École Française d’Enseignement Technique (EFET), retrain professionally.
