Marie Delagnes was born in Aveyron, but studied applied arts then photography at Toulouse. This dual training helped her explore juxtapositions and gateways as she developed a whimsical fantasy universe based on sensitivity, duality and poetry. Her exploration is reflected in her photographic work where femininity often emerges as the main theme, as a pivot around which different scenes form. The creation of the scenery, mixing different organic materials, is an integral part of her work and the way she approaches the image.
