After studying cinema in Montpellier, Marie enrols in photography and multimedia at the University of Paris 8.
In 2006, as part of an exhibition at the Christiane Peugeot Cultural Centre, Marie produces a collection of photographs accompanied by a video in which she herself is in the frame, and registers her interest in performance, the genre of the portrait, femininity, its codes and meanings.
