Join Anja Hitzenberger on a small-group, in-person photo retreat in Rockland, Maine — a small, very walkable town that has drawn photographers, painters, and writers for generations. This is a great opportunity for you to immerse yourself in a focused and creative environment — enhance your skills, find inspiration, and connect with like-minded individuals.
Rockland is a place where lobster boats unload their catch just steps away from art galleries — and Rockland local (and photographer) Shawn Buterbaugh will be along to share his insider’s knowledge of the area.
Highlights of the retreat include a visit to the island Vinalhaven by ferry and working with a master printer who will print two images that you’ve just created and that we’ll show in a special one-night exhibition. We’ll end with a traditional Maine lobster bake, and cap off our photo retreat experience with an online group critique session two weeks after the trip.
