Following on his series Monumental in which he photographed Places of Memory , Patrick Tournebeouf was invited to immerse himself in the heart of the Hotel Normandy. Thanks to his systematic and artistic vision that surpasses the simply documentary approach, Patrick Tourneboeuf delivers an individual and inquisitive view of the most famous hotel in Deauville. He questions its identity, past and present, through the prism of its recent renovation but also links it to its sociological and historic changes. Originally thought of as an inner quest, this work brings a sensitive, almost intimate, approach to the memory of the establishment, rather than simple documentary work.
