Through October 24th, the NUE Galerie is exhibiting the work of a young French photographer, Anouk Deville, and her series Le corps en quête.
From ages 15 to 25, Deville kept a digital diary of photos and pieces of text taken from her correspondance. She uses photography as a means of discovering the world and herself, photographing herself in intimate situations, confronting sexuality, pain, death and aging. The work could be described as “photo-therapy.”
Her photographs are representative of a new generation for whom there is no single, right method to express oneself through photographs.
