Again and again and again!!! We never get tired of it! The pictures pass before our eyes and the clock’s hands bolt by. What a pleasure finding you again, in growing numbers, and always more talented. What a joy it is to discover just how much the great photographers we presented to you during the year have been inspiring you, how they left their mark on you, and how they touched you. Your vision reflects trends in photography, and beyond that, society’s evolution. Yes, we came across many selfies, we recognized Gregory Crewdson’s cinematographic-like atmospheres, Karl Lagerfeld’s black and white aesthetics, Epectase’s surrealistic poetry, Magnum’s photographers’ framing, Alex Prager’s immerged bodies… Your pictures echo the world’s rumbling. “I am Charlie” appeared so many times that we decided to dwell upon it with a two page spread. Remembering in our way January 7th, cartoonists Wolinski, Cabu, Tignous, Charb and all the others… and never forgetting that freedom of speech is one of our core values. On November 13th, France was wounded again by a wave of terrorist attacks at the Bataclan concert hall, in the rue de Charonne, at the Belle Equipe bar and at the Stade de France. We arranged a double page spread at the end of this issue with your pictures of the Eiffel Tower, in homage to the victims and to remind us all that Paris will always be a celebration. Great photographers were kind enough to put their cameras down for a moment to write us a few words.
