This exhibition was born from an encounter with Michel Scognamillo, “bookseller and gallery owner” located in the heart of St Germain des Prés.
He wanted to organize an exhibition with my photographs and we chose the trees.
I have photographed trees a lot, as we photograph friends, family, almost without realizing it This awareness of my tender and familiar relationship, sometimes childish in rediscovering the myths and legends attached to trees and the forest vegetal, was the trigger and the beginning of the series on display today.
The tree and the forest are the world of mystery, tales, fairies, gods.
They look like us, they are alive, they are our ancestors, they protect us.
