For its eleventh session of exhibitions , running until July 20, 2025, L’Appartement – Espace Images Vevey brings together James Barnor (Ghana) and Nico Krijno (South Africa): two artists from the African continent with complementary visions, two countries, two generations, two ways of approaching reality through images.
In Les Chambres, James Barnor (born in 1929 in Ghana) exhibits a series of images documenting the sociocultural transformations of Ghana and the United Kingdom from the 1950s to the present day.
Nico Krijno (born in 1981 in South Africa) takes over Le Couloir, Le Salon, and Le Cinéma, deconstructing the codes of traditional photography through an experimental approach, combining digital collages, abstract compositions, and vibrant colors.
