Under those uncertain skies
During a creative residency, the city of Fujiyoshida became a laboratory of photographic explorations in which I wanted to combine the spatial concerns of urban and rural development with a reinvented architectural vision.
These photographs printed on paper capture the reflection of the reverse scene in the tributaries water. They serve as raw materials to then be immersed in a mold filled with water and subsequently frozen in this aqueous material. Once unmolded, they will be rephotographed in the studio.
While recomposing their complexity, the poetry of these upside-down reflections invites us to see the details of the scenes frozen in time and aims to map differently the various geographical situations questioning the notion of landscape.
