Each photograph is the result of intensive (and sometimes bitter) work with his models. Orgebin tries to capture their density, pushing them to the limits of their strength and fragility.This gives the Madonnas a magnetic presence that extends beyond images and photography altogether.
Orgebin works directly on the negative as if it were a painter’s canvas, combining materials to make it vibrate. He cuts it, staples it and moves it around, giving life to the beings that surround his Madonnas, making them sublime, disturbing them, harassing them and loving them.
Orgebin is seeking with his approach to recover the unique character of the created work. Each photo is made singular, and the negative is presented and sold along with the work.
