Photography Award Prix Picto de la Mode 2020: Call for submissions

A 2020 edition marked by novelty

Picto Foundation is pleased to launch the 2020 call for submissions for the Prix Picto de la Mode [Picto Fashion Photography Award]. The 22nd Prix Picto de la Mode ceremony, which will take place on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at the Palais Galliera, the City of Paris Fashion Museum.

A reference distinction for emerging talents in the fashion photography field, the Prix Picto de la Mode is delighted to welcome photographer Sarah Moon as president of the jury for this edition.

This year 2020 will also be marked by stimulating innovations. Thus, in addition to the production of exhibition prints and the display of the winner’s images in advertising spaces in Paris, the 1st Prize will receive a Leica camera.

The 2nd prize, titled 19M for Crafts Photography, will designate the winner who will benefit from a carte blanche given by one of the brands of the 19M label, crafts of the Chanel group.

This year we also launch the Prix Filippo Roversi as part of the Prix Picto de la Mode, with the support of photographer Paolo Roversi. It will highlight the originality of the technical know-how of a photographer (photographic process, black and white / color / light treatments, etc.).

Partner of the Prize since 2017, the Palais Galliera allows award-winning photographers to enter a large public collection.

The Prix Picto de la Mode aims to introduce new talents. This program is part of Picto Foundation which supports the activity of emerging photographers.

Prix Picto de la Mode

1st Prize // Prix Picto de la Mode 2020 to recognize the talent of an emerging photographer whose instinct and writing contribute to the visual and cultural world of fashion.

2nd Prize // 19M Endowment for Fine Crafts Photography to reward the talent of an emerging photographer whose aesthetic approach resonates with the crafts.

3rd Prize // Filippo Roversi endowment to reward an emerging talent whose practice is distinguished by the use of photographic know-how and original visual techniques.

Endowment 19m For Crafts Photography

– A carte blanche worth € 5,000 from a 19M label brand, bringing together the Crafts of the Chanel group.
– 1000 € of production assistance from Picto services.
– Entry into the public collections of the Palais Galliera, Fashion Museum of the City of Paris.
