Based on the observation that women artists representation remains too limited and equal to the place reserved to them in society in general, the “femmesPHOTOgraphes” association emerged in 2016 with the objective to offer an alternative to the lack of visibility of photography practiced by women.
The structure, based on the sharing of diffusion tools dedicated to contemporary photography, aims to promote the representation of photographic works produced by women.
“femmesPHOTOgraphes” offers, via its online platform and its magazine, a visibility to a range of women photographers, should they be photojournalists, photographers of the intimate, daily life photographers, visual artists, etc. This pooling brings a variety of outlooks, thus developing a landscape of photography by women.
