At Le ROOF de Poitiers, photographer Bernard Larquier presents a series of personalised photographs that explore the fragilities and invisible forces that keep us in balance, whether physical, emotional or artistic.
‘I photograph moments when everything could tip over.’
I capture ‘the in-between, the body leaning, the object swaying, the light slipping away before disappearing.’
‘Climbing and photography have this in common: it’s about finding your way in uncertainty, between control and letting go. These images are tributes to those moments when everything can change… or stabilise.’
