The Firebreak Grazers – Silvopasture in Suburbia
This body of work narrates the use of goats and sheep as ecological stewards—grazing fire-prone landscapes to reduce the risk of brush fires in suburban California.
Through these images, I aim to explore the quiet resilience and unexpected beauty found at the intersection of pastoral tradition and contemporary fire mitigation. The animals, often overlooked in the broader narrative of climate adaptation, become protagonists in a visual story of renewal, labor, and landscape.
