Beyond his breads, which are among the best I have ever eaten, baker-artist Eric Trouvé is also a gifted and passionate photographer.
Because his life as a baker is essentially nocturnal, Eric became interested in the little world of spiders, a species generally viewed rather poorly, and even disliked, by many mortals.
After long periods of observation, he let himself be charmed by these animals, which he finds to be: “… graceful, ingenious, sensitive, and patient …”.
Naturally, the photographer has taken over from the baker to share with us his portraits of these shy stars and to invite us into this universe filled with webs. The framing and compositional choices favor atmosphere and defuse the negative opinions and unjustified aversions toward our neighbors so often left unseen.
