As part of Fiesta, the 7th edition of lille3000, the CRP and La Fileuse in Loos present À Table!, an exhibition exploring one of the most popular photographic practices: family meal photography. An opportunity to explore the creation of this domestic iconography, thanks to the exceptional collection of Nadine and Paul Catry.
For the past fifteen years, Nadine and Paul Catry, both natives of the region, have been constantly exploring so-called “vernacular” photography by collecting anonymous prints of various subjects and periods. With over 5,000 pieces, this ” collection by sight ” of amateur instant photography bears witness to the rituals and codes of family photography that construct a visual envelope of the “family we.”
