The series by Chris Davis was selected by Don Burmeister, Executive Editor, NY Photo Review during portfolios reviews organized by The New York Chapter of the American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP NY) on February 18th, 2015, in New York.
According to a recent government survey, Americans watch an average of 2.7 hours of television per day – accounting for half of all leisure time. These photographs which are lit only by the light emanating from the TV are exposed for 2-3 hours, thus approximating the daily amount of time spent in front of the television by the average American.
