Emergencies: Leaving the womb is probably the most intense act a human being can experiment. Floating in a perfect temperature liquid with all your needs covered. What happens in that moment? What do we feel on showing to the world for the first time? The five senses are suddenly connected in a crazy information waterfall: light, noise, smells, cold, taste of blood… from a liquid environment we change to air. It doesn’t matter how much we would live it would be hard to imagine how is life before been born as it is difficult to imagine life after death or before conception.  What about the inverse? Would it be possible recreate now the moment it took place the most significant change in our lives?

Carlos Escolástico (b. 1968, Spain) formed in photography and psychology, combining both disciplines for teaching and creating personal projects focused always on portraits. He has exhibited his work mainly in Japan, Russia and Spain, where he lives now.
