Bertrand Gondouin, This year
I made these photos in 1998 on the beach of Canet with a Lomo Lubitel 6×6.At the time I sold donuts on this beach which allowed me to know a little everyone.
All these people allowed themselves to be photographed with kindness, and all left me a written permission to broadcast these images.
I waited 20 years to disseminate this work whose aim was to produce images that fit into a not-so-distant past, but nevertheless marked the end of an era: that of the pre-digital era. However, the black and white rendering, the choice of 6×6 format still blurs the tracks a bit, only the bath costumes, the lowest common denominator, allows us to inform about the time of these shots.
Today all these people are 20 years older and probably do not remember the seller of donuts to the camera.
