Sixteen students aged 16-18 explore what truly matters to them – people, places, objects – through a new photography project on display at Old Street Roundabout. The group spent the summer working with professional artists and industry mentors to reflect on what matters to teenagers growing up in London now, and how they can celebrate their individuality through portraiture.
The students were all part of the Common Ground project, which aims to support young and emerging artists in pursuing a creative career and access higher education.
The results will be displayed six metres high on the Old Street Digital Canvas from 20 October – 2 November, and in a new online gallery on Autograph’s website.
