Hannah Wolf presents Dichotomy, her first exhibition in Arles. She sends us her photos and this text.
My name is Hannah Wolf, my real name is Anaïs Chapellière. I am a photographer specializing in portraiture and fashion. Through my images, I seek to create dreamlike and experimental atmospheres.
After some devastating experiences, I found a cathartic language in photography. It allowed me to transform pain and grief into an explosion of color and expression. My portraits explore the richness of human emotions and reflect my quest for inner balance.
My world is nourished by cinema and music. I merge contrasting aesthetics, where pop colors interact with deep blacks, revealing a form of duality that inhabits me.
With Dichotomy, I invite you to dive into a world that is both vibrant and fragile, where each image oscillates between joy and melancholy, as if suspended in a moment of eternity.
It is in Arles, a city where I lived for six months and which has marked my career, that I chose to present my very first exhibition, as part of the Rencontres de la Photographie.
