Every week, L’Oeil de la Photographie presents the radio program Regardez voir, produced by Brigitte Patient on France Inter. Meeting with Jean-Baptiste Mondino.
The photographer and filmmaker Jean-Baptiste Mondino has been taking pictures for the past 40 years. Björk, Etienne Daho, Madonna, Les Rita Mitsouko and Alain Bashung sought him out. He filmed Vanessa Paradis, age 17, for the sublime music video “Tandem,” photographing her throughout her career and for her album Love Songs. He is an essential contributor to pop culture, but his face is unrecognizable to the public.
