Andrei Farcasanu, The quiet sense of nature

Preview

The series is about the idea that the small details-objects in everyday life can have a strong presence depending on how we look at them.

I try to show that the reality it is more complex than can be seen at the first glimpse. It has actually a very subtle and not so easy to see sense. The photos presented describe the mystical and quiet sense of nature and therefore of life.

“The quiet sense of nature” is a photo series about our definition and perception of reality, about small moments and details that sometimes we don’t pay attention to. Through this photos I try to show that the beauty can be in everything but is not always in your face. It is actually very subtle and quiet, therefore, we have to look for it.
My opinion is that what we see as reality it is different for each one, depending of our own interior world. Sometimes the beauty of nature it is in front of us, sometimes the quiet sense of nature it is visible only when taking a second look at the world around us.

The photos of this series are hand printed on fiber base paper, small size. I am interested in the photos as image-object, in the mix of subject, texture, tones and the presence of the photo as an object.
