The True Passers-by

This series, which includes more than 70 images, is the culmination of a work begun 10 years ago. This work was originally intended to be a color research in the city. Under the title “With the color for any luggage” it was exhibited in 2013 at La Chambre Claire, in Rennes, under the direction of Nathalie Boulouch. Then, feeling the limits of the study he was repeatedly left out and then, under different titles, when making new images. But other feelings appeared to me a year ago shaking up previous ideas. I enthusiastically put this series at the center of my photographic preoccupations.

Do we all see the same thing when we walk in the city?

Sometimes far from emblems lying on glossy paper, it is humanity that interests me.

Precisely, it is the particular interaction between people and the environment built around them that questions me. This space focuses my attention.

I go to the discovery of the city and borrows a moment the scenery encountered. In the flow of the present, I let play the temporary actors and makes me forget. Subject to the contingency of the real, it is necessary to wait for the happy accident.

Each time, the irreverently facetious nature of life makes me hope to tell a story. Without ever directing the scene.

To prove, in this way, that the street is a remarkable scene on which we are all actors.
