Preview

PDNB Gallery  established in Dallas, Texas, in 1995. Twentieth century and contemporary photography by American, Latin American, Asian, and European artists. (Originally, Photographers Do Not Bend). At this year’s show, they are highlighting the works of Garry Winogrand, Carlotta Corpon, and Robert Frank to name a few.

The acclaimed Texas artist and teacher, Carlotta Corpron, had a solo exhibition at the Amon Carter Museum in 1980, and was included in Margaretta Mitchell’s 1979 book, Recollections: Ten Women of Photography. In 2006 her work was exhibited with two of her students at the El Paso Museum of Art. The show title, Texas Bauhaus, illustrated the connection with Bauhaus artists Laszlo Maholy-Nagy and Gyory Kepes. Corpron, along with Ida Lansky and Barbara Maples will be exhibited for the first time in our booth at the Park Avenue Armory.

The remarkable image, Ranch Market, Hollywood, 1956, by Robert Frank from The Americans is a sample of a few selected treasures PDNB Gallery is featuring from the 1950’s- 1970’s. Several Garry Winogrand photographs will also be featured, including the strangely odd monkey in the car image,Park Avenue, NY, 1959.
