The photograph of Gérard Rancinan, Les Trois Graces, numbered 1/3, has been sold for 97000 euros at Drouot Montaigne at the auction of l’étude Pierre Cornette de St-Cyr. An other photograph of Rancinan entitled Le radeau des illusions, had reached 72 000 euros in 2007. As Rancinan explaines, this photograph “is part of a new series called Hypothèse, wich is a reflexion on the safe keeping of cultures, values, and languages of our humanity in the accelerating spiral in wich our time has rushed in.”
