In the limelight
Since I began photographing professionally (in 1987), the nude has always been one of my favorite subjects, along with portraiture and fashion. Today, however, I’m forced to admit that for many years now, it has become increasingly difficult to exhibit nudes, whether in galleries or on social networks. Without going into sociology, it’s obvious that various reasons are behind the return of this form of prudery, which even leads to self-censorship. But rather than face the wrath of these new censors, I preferred to treat the nude in an offbeat, even humorous way, where the title plays a key role.
