Vanity Fair, a new picture director

Graydon Carter today announced that Judith Puckett-Rinella would become Vanity Fair’s photography director, effective January 3, 2012. She succeeds Susan White, who is now the executive director of licensing at Trunk Archives.

Puckett-Rinella comes to the magazine from The New York Times Style Magazine, where she has been senior photographer editor since 2005. She also worked as photographer director at Details Magazine, which won the National Magazine Award for design in 2003, and at Black Book Magazine as director of photography. She also served as a producer/studio manager for the Norman Jean Roy Studio.
