Our “coup de coeur” for this exhibition entitled L’Attente (The Wait), created by the collective “Soyons flous” and presented until January 6th 2026 at the Cave des vignerons de Tavel. It is accompanied by this text:
… The wait… Time passing…
Twelve photographers, twelve points of view that sometimes converge, sometimes not.
Waiting for the train, the plane, the appointment… on a bench… here or elsewhere.
Daydreaming, ideas streaming through the mind, the body experiencing the wait.
Living through the time that flows by before the object of our waiting is fulfilled… or not…
Imagining a future within the present. Being in expectation of an event that is certain to occur after a given time. Unless waiting merges with the hope that “something” uncertain will happen…
Should we, like André Breton, think that “Regardless of what happens or does not happen, it is waiting that is magnificent”?
Or isn’t better to follow the philosophical precept of the “here and now” in order to escape the tyranny of waiting?
