Invited to the Salon PhotoDoc. 2025, Françoise Paviot presents an installation by the collective Le Tiers Visible. Raphaël Chipault, Gilles Gerbaud, and Laurence Vidil will exhibit the Grand livre n°6 de Mexico (The Great Book of Mexico), along with a collection of works from their artistic research on urban space, which they have been conducting for several years, particularly in Mexico City, an organic and sensitive city.
Sometimes, by searching too hard for the invisible, we forget what was right before our eyes. Raphaël Chipault, Gilles Gerbaud, and Laurence Vidil share with us the daily life and expertise of Mexico City’s Vulcanizadores (Vulcanizers), making the street space tangible for us, an invitation to experience, beyond borders, the richness of the visible in the fragility of its obviousness.
