The series by Robert Herman was selected by Maxi Cohen, Photographer, Website, Pamela Jean Tinnen, Curator and Exhibits Coordinator, NYU Kimmel Galleries, Thomas Werner, Private Art Dealer, Educator and Consultant,Thomas Werner Projects, during portfolios reviews organized by The New York Chapter of the American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP NY) on February 18th, 2015, in New York.
Robert Herman has been a street photographer since his days as an NYU film student back in the late 70’s. His photos of New York City, shot between 1978-2005 on Kodachrome, are collected in his first book: The New Yorkers. His second monograph, The Phone Book, iPhone photos made with the Hipstamatic App, will be published by Schiffer Publishing Ltd. in the fall of 2015.
