I had wanted to photograph France since 2009. Through a happy accident, Marseille became the setting for this project, even though I would also have liked to shoot in the Alps, the Landes forest, Brest or Châteauroux. Various people, buildings and materials appeared, forcing me to find a dramaturgical commonality among them.
That’s thousands of images and articles, documenting the history of the medium of photography and its evolution during the last decade, through a unique daily journal.
