Prix Picto 2012 : –Charlotte Moulard

Preview

I’m a storyteller, inspired by literature, cinema and fairy tales. Raised in a family of storytellers, I naturally turn to the dreamlike aspects of fairy tales, legends, and cinema for inspiration. This creative source has always fascinated me because it can be appropriated and reinterpreted without end.

Charlotte Moulard is a French Fashion photographer, based in Paris. A graduate of ESAG-Penninghen (Masters degree obtained in 2005), Charlotte started her career as a junior art director. Three years later, propelled by her passion for photography, she decided to change fields and enrolled at Les Gobelins to study fashion photography.

Fresh out of school, Charlotte had the unique opportunity to work with some of the fashion industry’s top talents, such as Rankin in London and Sophie Delaporte in Paris (Le Bon Marché, Vogue Italy, Express Styles).

Though a newcomer to the fashion industry, Charlotte has already worked for clients such as Les Petits Hauts, Brandalley and Euro RSCG. Her editorial work has been published in magazines such as Flaunt, Stella and Sport&Style and are featured regularly in the magazine Paulette.

She’s also a member of the duo called max&charlotte which produced a photo series inspired by Martin Handford Where’s Wally. This project has been exhibited in Paris, Amsterdam, Copenhagen and will soon be shown in Shanghai.

For Picto contest, Charlotte created a new serie called 7 juillet 1951, inspired by Edward Hopper’s paintings.
