Poland: Krakow –Tomek Niewiadomski

Preview

The second opening of Blue are at the moment presented in Krakow’s Manggha Museum of Japanese Art and Technology. In September 2012 the exhibition was premiered in September 2012 at DAP Gallery in Warsaw, the selection of the photographs exhibited in Krakow is different.
Hard wood under your feet, space overhead, we swim with the second wave of Blue through consecutive chambers. The story washes over the walls in rhythmical curves leaving a vivid mark behind, satiating with the exceptional circumstances. The project fluidly evolves.
The exhibition in Krakow features works created by Tomek Niewiadomski on the spectre of 2003–2012, produced in the unique technique of platinum/palladium. Such prints are of exceptional quality and permanence as well as extraordinary and subtle tonal transitions. Each and every one is inimitable…

Born in 1974, Tomek Niewiadomski gained his photographic knowledge and experience in Australia, Poland, and the United States, studying under photographers such as David Michael Kennedy and Paul Aresu. Niewiadomski is a graduate of the School of Fine Arts-Photography in Sydney. He has taken part in both individual and group exhibitions, including “Nihon” (individual exhibition, 2008, Gallery 65, Warsaw; Pauza Gallery, Krakow), “W.W.D.M.K.T.S.J.P.A.W.T.N” (group exhibition of Gallery 65 photographers, 2007, Królikarnia Gallery), “China the Middle Kingdom” (individual exhibition, 2006, University Library, Warsaw), “One Passion, Two Visions” (with David Michael Kennedy, 2005, Fabryka Trzciny, Warsaw).
