“Interviewing Denis Brihat is a wonderful memory in my life as a photo journalist at France Inter.
He rarely traveled to Paris. In 2016, he exhibited at the Galerie Calera Obscura, and I came to meet him, and we spoke together in the apartment above the gallery. On March 15, I met with Solange Brihat, Denis’s wife, and Didier Brousse, the gallery director, to share their thoughts a few hours before the opening, the selection of the photos on display, and the work of this unique photographer.

The exercises he proposed to his trainees: “You go off on your own, you choose a subject, preferably a tree, and you make me a portfolio. Some were looking for the tree thinking for a month!”
Jean-Pierre Sudre, Jean-Marc Bustamente, Jean Dieuzaide, Le Bec en l’air publishing house, Michel Tournier (who interviewed him in 1966 for the only program on photography on television), and many other names and stories are collected during this “live” encounter.”
