Preview

They are five to share this niche of photography that will belong to history to inform future generations about previous periods. These images bear witness to what existed or was happening at a specific time in human evolution, the existence of objects or the profile of landscapes.

Phot’Aubrac 2021: Alain Roux

The right images at the right times, everything is there to turn them into excellent technical testimonials while giving a real atmosphere. The subjects are with us, they invite us into their lives and offer us spaces where nothing is missing in the details so that the adventure is authentic.

Phot’Aubrac 2021: Jean Pierre Devals

This Aveyronnais carpenter by trade and photographer by vocation meets these people who often make the news without ever seeing their situation really change. Jean Pierre’s photographs give us the impression of immortalizing a time that was already frozen. The use of black and white with his B/W prints, no longer allows us to date his images. Some even seem to have originated before the arrival of photography.

Phot’Aubrac 2021: Lionel Briot

Alongside professional work in many sectors of photography, Lionel Briot carries out research and personal work. He exhibited diptychs that associated portraits with the living space of each of his models. The idea is interesting and it has been put into practice by many photographic designers or painters. In the case of this series taken in the Marseille region, the question of an essential diptych montage was posed. It still remain so!

Phot’Aubrac 2021: Sabin Malgouyres

He is the youngest member of the festival with his 17 years. He is a local who lives in this countryside with a unique specificity. He has a good eye full of photographic ambition. He can be seen wherever there is something going on. His shots are interesting for the subjects treated and give a glimpse of real potential when Sabin will perceive the emotion that they can arouse after a selection without a priori and a post treatment of his framing and his balances of light. An author to follow in the world of photography.
