The work Incroyable Afrique presents a selection of color photographs by Pascal Maitre taken in 25 different African countries over the course of thirty years. “In anthropology, we call this ‘reciprocal exchange.’ The people I speak of in the texts gave me so much. It was time to give them something back. Through three symbolic characters, it also serves as a tribute to all of Africa. Rather, it is a tribute to all of the many Africas, all close to my heart.”
