Studio Willy Rizzo opens its new exhibition ‘Bad Boys’ tomorrow. The images on show are portraits of celebrities known for their reckless lifestyles – and there is bound to be a few more in stock! Although Hollywood’s brass remained wary of these actors, they were accepted for their sheer talent. So who are they? Marlon Brando, Robert Mtichum, Sean Penn and Dennis Hopper… there’s not much chance of a quiet life when they are around – and that’s no bad thing!
‘I call them “bad boys” but that’s not in any way pejorative – I admire them. I want to show off the artists and personalities, actors with an overwhelming presence who unnerve, provoke, astound… They are unpredictable, never easy and do not fit into any mould,’ explains Willy Rizzo.
