Michael Kenna unveils at Paris Photo his new series of female nudes, RAFU, made in Japan between 2008 and 2017.
Kenna is famous for his landscapes, this is the first time he presents this nude series on the stand of the Camera Obscura gallery. This presentation is a preview of the retrospective that will be dedicated to him in December at the Tokyo Photographic Art Museum (TOP): A 45 year Odyssey (1973 -2018) “from December 1 to January 27, 2019.
RAFU will also be the subject of a book published by Nazraeli Press at the end of November.
