The McCord Stewart Museum presents a new exhibition dedicated to street photography in Montreal.
Entitled Pounding the Pavement. Montreal Street Photography, the exhibition explores the practice of street photography as it developed in Montreal from the 19th century to the present day. Drawing primarily from the Museum’s Photography collection, the exhibition brings together 30 bodies of images by photographers from diverse backgrounds who have captured their experiences of urban life.
