Max Baur : Studies with the camera, vintage photographs

Max Baur is one of the important photographers of the 20th century in nature and plant studies. Born in 1898 in Günzburg an der Donau, his early works show German landscapes, especially the environment of the Sanssouci Palace in Potsdam. Not much later, he finds his passion for architecture. Prior to World War I, he completes his apprenticeship as a bookseller and establishes his first studio in Werningerode in 1928.
